Prayer Request

Please pray for the Chaldean Catholic Archbishop of Mosul, Iraq. Mgr Paulos Faraj Rahho, was kidnapped while leaving a Church after he finished leading the Stations of the Cross. Three men who were with him in the car, including the driver, were killed.

Cardinal Emmanuel III Delly, Chaldean Patriarch of Baghdad, urgently asks our prayers for the Archbishop's safety.

Christians in Iraq have been undergoing horrible persecution at the hands of Moslems. Clergy and their families are regularly kidnapped and killed. Churches are destroyed. Neighborhoods have been destroyed. Let us pray that Our Lady will protect her children and deliver them from all harm.

May our prayers be with the Archbishop and the people of Iraq who suffer persecution. May the Lord and our Mother of Perpetual Help look after him in his time of dispair and bring him home safely.

Hi Fr. Scott,
I'm catching up with blog reading today. I have a question for you...I'd like to add you to my sidebar links...do you prefer one of your blogs over the other?
I'm enjoying your posted art work also. (what else would you expect from a holy card collector?)
My prayers go out for all the persecuted in Iraq...we have much to pray for there.

Woops - I forgot to ask. Has there been an update on the outcome of this horrible event?
